Appolonia City has launched a major infrastructure push with the construction of a 25km internal road network. The project is expected to accelerate residential and commercial development across one of Ghana’s fastest-growing master-planned cities.
Appolonia City has commenced a major infrastructure phase with the groundbreaking of a 25-kilometre internal road network, marking a significant step in the expansion of one of Ghana’s largest master-planned urban developments. The ceremony brought together government officials, developers, and construction partners as the project entered active execution.
The road network will feature asphalt carriageways, pedestrian walkways, cycling paths, drainage systems, and utility corridors designed to support long-term urban growth. The works are being implemented by Core Construction Limited and form part of a broader strategy to enhance accessibility and connectivity within the city.
Developers say the infrastructure investment is central to unlocking residential neighbourhoods, commercial districts, and industrial zones within Appolonia City. Improved internal mobility is expected to increase land value and attract both local and international investors.
As urban demand continues to rise in Greater Accra, the project reinforces the shift toward infrastructure-led real estate development, where roads and utilities are delivered ahead of large-scale occupancy.
